Beach

This picture is of my granddaughter on the beach in Florida on a sunny day. On the horizon you can see F-16 planes and other people enjoying the ocean and the beach. I took it during a celebration on May 5th thinking ‘what would someone feel if they were impaired because of a war injury?’. I also wanted to point out how children are on the verge of military presence. To me, photographs are something magical: you can stop time. Three years ago I lost my sight, and then I discovered that I could take pictures again. I regained trust, my life changed.
