...is a passionate rap and soul music artist. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey and spent a good portion of his childhood in Central Kentucky USA. His upbringing was one stifled by poverty and family dysfunction to which he was able to overcome through academics, sports, church and music. He now resides in the UK with his lovely wife and employs music as a means to positively affect the global community.

When it comes to how young people are represented in the media, there’s one key aspect I’d address: the lack of balance or equal representation of their various walks of life. Not everyone’s
carrying knives or doing robberies. So that too deserves media exposure.

I must applaud the PhotoVoice team, Fairbridge and the funders for giving me the privilege to take part in such a gratifying project. It’s
programmes like these that can change someone’s life and give hope to someone who would otherwise have been considered hopeless.
