The AjA Project is based in San Diego and currently operates and supports three programs and one travelling exhibition. The programs include Journey in San Diego, Record of Truth in Thailand and Disparando Cámaras para la Paz (Shooting Cameras for Peace) in Colombia.
Record of Truth encompasses two programs: 1) A participatory photography program for Karen refugees living in the Mae Khong Kha camp, Thailand. 2) The Vocational Weaving Program, a collaboration with the refugee camp's schools. Students learn traditional Karen weaving techniques and produce intricate bags and scarves that are sold in the USA to raise funds for the program
