Internationally acclaimed author, journalist and broadcaster Charles Glass will be joined by Magnum correspondent Micha Bar-Am and two members of The Families Forum - a network of over 400 Israeli and Palestinian bereaved families dedicated to pursuing peace and dialogue as an end to the Arab-Israeli Conflict. The Lecture will be accompanied by an exhibition of images taken by Israeli and Palestinian children, trained in photojournalism skills by PhotoVoice and The Families Forum as part of the Side by Side project. | Refugee Week 18 – 24 June 2007, London PhotoVoice will exhibit work from its award-winning Moving Lives project at the Waterman’s Arts Centre, as part of a UK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK, and encourages a better understanding between communities. Refugee Week comprises hundreds of small and large events, ranging from big music festivals and art exhibitions to political debates, film screenings, conferences, school activities, sports and community events. Between April and May 2007 the Refugee Week Team organised a photography competition on the theme of Encounters. PhotoVoice co-founder, Tiffany Fairey, has been invited to judge the competition, and winners will be announced at the opening of the Encounters exhibition, on 21st June at Nolias Gallery. | Unboxed Conference Tuesday 19 June 2007 PhotoVoice is one of seven organisations that have been invited to lead workshops at the first Unboxed Annual Conference. The conference aims to promote positive activities for young people, with a particular focus on human rights, citizenship and equality. |

| Ten Feet Away International Festival 26 - 29 July 2007, St John's Waterloo, London PhotoVoice has been invited to exhibit images at the Ten Feet Away International Festival. The multi-artform festival celebrates creative expression by homeless people, providing participatory workshops in visual arts, poetry and performing arts, alongside high quality performances. Moving Lives: Photography by young unaccompanied refugees in London PhotoVoice is about to embark on a new phase of its work with young refugees, a mentoring project called New Londoners. The New Londoners will bring together 15 of London’s recent arrivals with 15 photographer mentors. Using a variety of styles and perspectives, from documentary to autobiography, the participants will share their experiences and stories about settling in and growing up in London in a personalized photo essay. |

PhotoVoice’s Matt Daw recently returned from the Bhutanese refugee camps in Nepal where he spent a week setting up a fully equipped darkroom and photo centre for the use of young refugees trained in photography as part of PhotoVoice’s work with the Children’s Forum, supported by Comic Relief. |

On Tuesday 27 March, celebrated photojournalist Philip Jones Griffiths opened the 2007 Magnum Photographers Lecture Series at the Royal Geographical Society with a gripping view of war and peace in Vietnam. Introduced by internationally acclaimed author and broadcaster Charles Glass, Philip gave a compelling documentation of devastation and development in Southeast Asia, revealing anecdotes and imagery from his three books: Vietnam Inc., Agent Orange and Vietnam at Peace. | Youth Photo-Reflect DVD In September 2006 PhotoVoice began a digital storytelling programme working with youth infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. The project's aim was to equip young people with tools through which they can speak out about their personal experiences and attitudes towards HIV/AIDS whilst simultaneously providing them with valuable life and media skills.
