PhotoVoice is delighted to announce the launch of its bursary scheme for participants of PhotoVoice projects wishing to continue developing their photography through personal projects. This year PhotoVoice has awarded more than ten bursaries to support a range of exciting projects by previous project participants. Bursary projects this year include a portraiture project by a visually impaired photographer raising awareness of the diversity in the UK's gay community, a photographic study by a Bhutanese refugee recently relocated to the US documenting life for repatriated refugees in the States, and an exploration of what it means to turn 18 by a young unaccompanied refugee starting a new life in London. Work from completed bursary projects will be exhibited on the PhotoVoice website later this year, along with details about the future of the scheme. |
