PhotoVoice Auction of World Class Photography

David Bailey, Peter Beard and Philip Jones Griffiths were among the mighty names from the worlds of art and documentary photography who donated 100 prints for PhotoVoice's Annual Auction held on 21 November 2006 at Reuters, London.

The Auction was a tremendous success, raising £73,299 in total. All the money raised will be used to further existing PhotoVoice projects, in particular Youth Photo-Reflect, a project working with children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa.

Youth Photo-Reflect, South Africa
In September 2006, PhotoVoice began a programme working with youth infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. The project will equip young people with tools through which they can gain valuable skills, speak out about their personal experiences and attitudes towards HIV/AIDS and share vital messages about HIV prevention. Side-by-Side, Jerusalem
In January 2007 PhotoVoice will begin photography workshops in Jerusalem with both Israeli and Palestinian children who have lost family members, to produce photographic work that will form an important dialogue between young people on both sides of the conflict. Read More
