Martin Parr: Photobiography
The Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7 2AR Map & directions
Celebrated photographer Martin Parr will conclude the Magnum Photographers Lecture Series with fascinating insights into the influences and attitudes that have shaped his provocative photographic style.
Martin's work - focused on themes of British identity and the preposterousness of modern life - has earned him an international reputation for its oblique approach to social documentary and for its innovative imagery.
His lecture will be accompanied by an exhibition of images taken by newly arrived refugees in the UK, trained in photojournalism skills by PhotoVoice. Read more about the project.
Tickets purchased on or after Tuesday 6 November will be available for collection at the Royal Geographical Society on the night of the lecture from 6pm from the Pre-Paid Ticket Collection Desk.
