PhotoVoice invites you to spend an enlightening evening with Pulitzer Prize winner and long time Associated Press correspondent Liu Heung Shing . He will be discussing his

own groundbreaking work, and looking at the way in which Chinese photographers have documented life in China since 1949.

Liu’s new book, China: Portrait of a Country, charts a remarkable visual history of the past 60 years of the People’s Republic Of China. He explains that `China has shorthanded so much of the nation's own history by omitting many images from the official media.’ Now Liu is able to give his audience an incredible humanistic and visual account of a country’s journey from the periphery to a central position in world affairs.

Liu Heung Shing will be available for Q&A and book signing after the lecture. PhotoVoice would like to thank Taschen for kindly donating 50% of the book sales taken on the night.
