Mission and Values
PhotoVoice empowers disadvantaged and marginalised individuals and communities to improve their social and economic situation through photography and digital media by working with participants so that they develop the skills to create images as a tool for change.
Activities
PhotoVoice works in the UK and worldwide with individuals, local communities and partner organisations to create participatory photography programmes that achieve meaningful improvements in the lives of participants.

History
PhotoVoice was built on a partnership between its founders, Anna Blackman and Tiffany Fairey, which originated whilst they were studying for MA’s in Social Anthropology at Edinburgh University.
